Daniela Biella

Daniela Biella is a visual artist who lives and works in Varese, the city where she was born and which has deeply influenced her imaginative universe. Her personal and professional journey unfolds along a path rich in experiences in the world of communication, inner research, and artistic expression, elements that today harmoniously converge in her painting.

After graduating in Parliamentary Interpreting, Daniela began her career as a freelance journalist, collaborating with the newspapers La Spinta and Il Giornale di Varese, where she mainly dealt with culture and art, demonstrating from the outset a particular sensitivity for creative language. At the same time, she joined the editorial staff of the private broadcaster Tele Altomilanese, enriching her professional background with experiences in the television world.

Driven by a deep desire to understand the human soul, she subsequently undertook a three-year training course in Counseling with a specialization in Gestalt, an approach focused on listening, the authenticity of experience, and awareness of the present moment. This interest in inner dynamics also intertwines with her passion for Astrology, a discipline she studied for many years and for which she became the Delegate of CIDA (Italian Center of Astrology) for Varese and its province. Under the pseudonym Daniela Gregori, she signed numerous articles for the magazine Linguaggio Astrale, contributing to the dissemination of ancient knowledge revisited in a modern key.

The encounter with painting happens gradually, almost silently, like an urgency that grows over time and finds full expression only in the last ten years, during which the artist has devoted herself to painting with consistency, passion, and originality. Hers is a pursuit developed outside of schools or academies, guided by an emotional and spiritual urgency that takes shape on canvas through personal and highly material techniques.

Daniela Biella's works move between two seemingly opposite but complementary expressive poles: on one hand, compositions dominated by dark tones—black, gray, white—that evoke inner depths, silences, and reflective states of mind; on the other, canvases flooded with light, where bright and vibrant colors seem to capture the vitality of the sun and return it as chromatic energy. In both cases, these are inner visions, emotional transfigurations of landscapes lived, remembered, or imagined, in which the pictorial material becomes a vehicle for deep and intimate emotions.

Daniela Biella conceives art as a space of absolute freedom, where color and material dialogue with the invisible. Her painting is a testimony to a personal journey made of listening, transformation, and openness, in which the work becomes a mirror of the soul and a bridge to the Other.

Today, Daniela Biella's work represents an authentic and original voice in the contemporary art scene, capable of combining introspection, symbolism, and visual experimentation. Her creations invite the viewer to slow down, to feel, to let themselves be crossed by images that do not describe, but evoke. An invitation to look beyond the surface, where painting becomes a sensory and spiritual experience.
