Mario Roncuzzi, Italian-San Marino, was born in Bologna.
He completed his violin studies under the guidance of Maestro Gigino Maestri.
He studied conducting with Maestro Ottavio Dantone, with whom he collaborated as an assistant. In this role he took part in numerous symphonic, operatic and record productions at major musical institutions, including "Rinaldo" by Händel and "Così fan tutte" by Mozart for the Teatro alla Scala, "L'Arbore di Diana" by Soler for the Teatro Real in Madrid. He made his debut as a conductor in 2005, obtaining unanimous acclaim from audiences and critics everywhere.
Over the years he has conducted the Virtuosi of the Berliner Philarmoniker and the Fiorentina Chamber Orchestra, of which he is a regular guest, the Bellagio Festival Orchestra, the Guido Cantelli Orchestra, the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra of Milan.
Since 2008 he has been conductor of the Engelberg Chamber Orchestra.
Since 2005 he has been the artistic director of the "Music in Historical Residences" festival.
