Coro Anemone

The Anemone choir was founded in 2022 by a group of exclusively female voices who had already collaborated on various musical projects.

The anemone is the flower of the wind, the vital breath of the seasons, of hope. This new choir was inspired by the auspices evoked by the chosen name, with the happy and generous intention of narrating and affirming, with the bright and brilliant timbre of female vocalism, the indispensable presence of music and poetry in everyone's daily life.

The choir has the peculiarity of being composed of choristers of different nationalities who share the same sensitivity and passion for the art of singing; the repertoire ranges from sacred music to secular music from different eras and countries, in a perspective of continuous expressive research.

In its program, the ensemble from Ispra offers a cappella pieces alternating with pieces accompanied on the piano, thanks to the precious collaboration of M° Angela Villa. It is conducted by M° Cristina Majocchi.

In its musical activities, it follows two parallel lines, one involving initiatives promoted independently and the other involving the organization engaged in annual cultural and artistic exchanges with national and international choirs, always meeting with the public’s approval.

During the course of its activity, the choir performed in the most diverse venues: theatres, art galleries, churches, libraries, monuments, bringing everywhere the atmosphere and magic of music performed with amateur passion and professional rigor. The contexts in which the choir presents itself are also among the most varied: concerts, stage readings, book presentations, fashion shows, art exhibitions, with the aim of cultural dissemination and charitable purposes.

The Anemone choir stands out for its determination to actively disseminate, promote and support quality choral music to an increasingly wider audience:

• creating synergies with public institutions, cultural promotion bodies and other musical entities;

• enhancing the local artistic and cultural heritage, which on some occasions is chosen as the setting for the concerts, thus becoming part of an artistic moment in which the combination of music and scenography creates a high quality result;

• uniting different artistic forms in a happy contamination of genres and arts;

• using music as a tool for sociality and community.
