Elena Bellotti

Since I was a child I have had a passion for drawing: pastels and chalks, then the encounter with oil painting that fascinated me.

Having abandoned all this for several years, having retired, since 2013 I have been attending the "L'Urlo" drawing and painting laboratory managed by the painter Antonietta Orsi of Pavia.

I am also a passionate photographer, in fact, when I return from trips and excursions I always bring a rich baggage of images.

They help me remember people, moments and places that over time sometimes overlap and fade in my memory.

There are many subjects that I love to portray, but the ones I prefer are the rocks, the bark of the trees and the reflections in the water, distant but fascinating worlds.

I often take inspiration from my favorite photographs, which give me the most emotion and which I already saw reproduced on canvas at the time of shooting, from here my paintings are born.

2015 Competition "CONTEMPORA BASILICA DI SAN MICHELE - 900 Years of Art" - Pavia - Pilgrimage theme - presented photo and painting which was purchased

2016 Competition “CONTEMPORA BASILICA DI SAN MICHELE – 900 Years of Art” – Pavia – Theme is light. Won 1st prize with painting – Photographic composition also presented

2017 Participation in the AUPI International Award (Official Register of Italian Poets) in Milan - Painting Section - Finalist with honorable mention.

2017 Participates in the collective painting exhibition in Soave.

2017 Pavia – “Renato Valdata” painting and sculpture competition – I present two oil paintings. Rewarded with participation in the collective exhibition at Studio Arte17 in Pavia.

2017 Biancoscuro Art Contest Photography section, the photo “Graffi di Luce” is among the 100 finalist works. The other photo presented “An eye in marble” wins the “Popular Jury Award”.

2017 Pavia – 1st PAT contemporary art exhibition I present a series of digital photographs including the two from the Biancoscuro Competition and the related oil reproductions. The two paintings were chosen to participate in the 1st Grandi Firme d'Arte Contemporanea Prize in Cesenatico in January 2018.

2018 Cesenatico – 1st Prize Great Signatures of Contemporary Art – The work “An eye in marble” was awarded.

2018 Pavia – Participation, with the painting group “L'Urlo” at the “HOME casa dolce casa” fair

2018 Forlì – participates in “Vernice Art Fair” presenting two oil paintings.

2018 Rome “Artexpo Spring Rome 2018” International art exhibition where he exhibits a series of photographs and two oil paintings.

2018 Milan – Participation in the AUPI International Award (Official Register of Italian Poets) Painting Section – Finalist with honorable mention

2018 Biancoscuro Art Contest Photography section and, the photo “Strane Luci” is among the 100 finalist works.

2018 Venice – 1st Prize Gran Targa Leone San Marco Competition – One of the two paintings presented was awarded
